• In direct ELISAs and Western blots, approximately 15% cross-reactivity with recombinant human IL-15 is observed.
• Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.

Target Information

IL-15 (Interleukin 15) is a cytokine that regulates T and natural killer cell activation and proliferation. IL-15 and IL-2 share many biological activities, binding common hematopoietin receptor subunits and potentially competing for the same receptor, thereby negatively regulating each other’s activity.
IL-15 induces activation of JAK kinases and phosphorylation of STAT3, STAT5, and STAT6 transcription activators. In mouse studies, IL-15 may increase expression of apoptosis inhibitor Bcl-xL, preventing apoptosis.
It plays a crucial role in the growth and differentiation of T and B lymphocytes, natural killer cells, macrophages, and monocytes, and is involved in immune responses, allograft rejection, and autoimmune disease pathogenesis.
IL-15 is a pro-inflammatory cytokine implicated in disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, and pulmonary inflammation. Neutralization of IL-15 shows therapeutic potential in models of psoriasis and diabetes.
