Product Specific Information
- In direct ELISAs, no cross-reactivity with recombinant human CFHR1, CFHR2, or CFHR5 is observed.
- Reconstitute in sterile PBS to a final concentration of 0.5 mg/mL.
Target Information
The CFHR4 gene belongs to the complement factor H (CFH) family and encodes one of five CFH-related proteins. These genes are located on chromosome 1q31–q32 and produce secreted plasma proteins primarily synthesized by hepatocytes. CFHR4 enhances CFH cofactor activity and participates in complement regulation. It can associate with lipoproteins and may play a role in lipid metabolism. Alternative splicing results in isoforms with varying numbers of short consensus repeats (SCRs).
