Target Information

Angiopoietins are members of the vascular endothelial growth factor family and are growth factors largely specific for vascular endothelium.
Angiopoietin-1, -2, and -4 participate in blood vessel formation.
The ANGPTL1 protein is another member of this family, widely expressed in adult tissues, particularly in highly vascularized organs.
It is a secretory protein that does not act as an endothelial cell mitogen in vitro.
