Product Specific Information
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.
Key advantages include:
- Enhanced specificity and sensitivity
- Lot-to-lot consistency
- Animal origin-free formulation
- Broad immunoreactivity due to the rabbit immune repertoire
Target Information
SPTAN1 (Spectrin alpha chain, non-erythrocytic 1) is a member of the spectrin family of filamentous cytoskeletal proteins that stabilize the plasma membrane and organize intracellular organelles. Spectrins form tetramers composed of alpha and beta dimers linked in a head-to-head arrangement.
SPTAN1 also plays roles in DNA repair and cell cycle regulation. Mutations in this gene are associated with early infantile epileptic encephalopathy-5. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
