Product Specific Information

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information

Steroid receptors are ligand-dependent intracellular proteins that regulate transcription of specific genes upon hormone activation. Before activation, they form complexes with various proteins including HSP70, HSP90, immunophilins (FKBP52, FKBP54, CyP-40), and other co-chaperones such as p23, p60, and p48.

p23, a 160 amino acid phosphoprotein, interacts with HSP90 and is essential for the binding of HSP90 and CyP-40 to the progesterone receptor (PR). Although its exact function is not fully understood, p23 plays a crucial role in PR activity and steroid receptor complex formation.
