Target Information
BST2 (CD317, HM1.24 antigen, DAMP-2, tetherin)은 B세포의 발달과 성장에 관여하는 막 단백질입니다.
BST2는 섬유아세포 세포주에서 표면 발현되어 전구 B세포주(DW34)의 성장에 영향을 미칩니다.
또한 BST2는 B세포, T세포, 단핵구, NK세포 및 수지상세포 등에서 높은 수준으로 발현됩니다.
연구 결과 BST2는 인간 세포에서 레트로바이러스 방출을 억제하며, HIV-1의 Vpu 단백질에 의해 길항됩니다.
BST2 결핍 시 바이러스 방출 조절이 사라지며, 이는 HIV/AIDS 치료 전략 연구에 활용될 수 있습니다.
BST2 이상은 구내염(stomatitis)과도 관련이 있습니다.
