Product Specific Information

The monoclonal antibody OX90.1 recognizes mouse CD200 (OX2), a member of the Ig superfamily with two Ig domains, a transmembrane, and a cytoplasmic domain. CD200 is expressed on resting and activated B cells, subsets of T cells, keratinocytes, peripheral and central nerve cells, follicular dendritic cells, and ovarian cells.
Interaction with CD200R leads to macrophage activation (IL-6 production), inhibition of mast cell degranulation, reduced TNF-α and IL-13 secretion, and overall attenuation of lymphocyte activation.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Tested on mouse splenocytes at ≤0.25 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Optimal titration recommended.

Target Information

CD200 is a type-1 membrane glycoprotein containing two immunoglobulin domains, belonging to the immunoglobulin superfamily. It interacts with CD200R on myeloid cells to inhibit macrophage activation. Homologues have been identified in herpesviruses and poxviruses.
CD200 may regulate myeloid cell activity and deliver inhibitory signals to macrophages in diverse tissues. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants exist.
Diseases associated with CD200 dysfunction include Mantle Cell Lymphoma and Primary Hypertrophic Osteoarthropathy.
