Chromatin assembly factor 1 (CAF-1)는 히스톤 샤페론 패밀리에 속하며, 염색체 상태의 후성유전적 유전 및 DNA 복제와 수리 중 크로마틴 조립을 촉진합니다. CAF-1 복합체는 p150, p60, p48 세 가지 서브유닛으로 구성되며, 인간 세포의 핵에 존재합니다. 이 복합체의 구성과 생화학적 활성은 인간, 효모, 초파리에서 모두 보존되어 있습니다.
