Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The expression systems are developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select optimal candidates for production.

Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the BCL2 protein family. Members of this family form oligomers or heterodimers and act as anti- or pro-apoptotic regulators involved in diverse cellular activities. This protein localizes to mitochondria and induces apoptosis by interacting with mitochondrial channels, leading to cytochrome c release. It also interacts with tumor suppressor P53 under cell stress conditions.
