The eBio17G10.2 monoclonal antibody reacts with human immunoglobulin-like transcript 7 (ILT7), also known as CD85g.
ILT7 belongs to the leukocyte immunoglobulin-like receptor (LIR) family and associates with FcεR1γ to form a functional complex that transduces ITAM-mediated signals, negatively regulating TLR-induced type I IFN production in human plasmacytoid dendritic cells (pDCs).
ILT7 is expressed exclusively on pDCs and is absent in monocyte-derived DCs. Treatment with IL-3 or CpG decreases its expression.

Double staining of human PBMCs with eBio17G10.2 and anti-pDC marker BDCA2 shows near-complete co-staining.
Cross-linking of ILT7 with this antibody reduces transcription of IFN-α1, IFN-α2, IFN-α4, and IFN-β.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Pre-titrated for flow cytometry of normal human peripheral blood cells. Use at 5 µL (0.25 µg) per test.
A test is defined as the amount of antibody to stain a cell sample in 100 µL final volume (10⁵–10⁸ cells/test).
Excitation: 633–647 nm; Emission: 660 nm; Laser: Red Laser.
Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.

Target Information

ILT7 is a plasmacytoid dendritic cell (pDC)-specific IgG-like receptor and member of the leukocyte immunoglobulin-like receptor gene family.
In complex with FcER1α, it transduces ITAM-mediated signals that negatively modulate type I IFN production by pDCs.
ILT7 serves as a potential target for regulating type I IFN production during viral infection, autoimmune diseases, and anti-cancer immune responses.
Along with CD123 and BDCA-2, ILT7 can be used to identify or classify subsets of pDCs in relation to TLR expression and TLR-mediated immune responses.
