Target Information
Phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (PI3K) consists of an 85 kDa regulatory subunit and a 110 kDa catalytic subunit. The PIK3CA gene encodes the catalytic subunit, which phosphorylates PtdIns, PtdIns4P, and PtdIns(4,5)P2 using ATP.
This gene is oncogenic and has been implicated in cervical cancers.
