Target Information
FLT3 is a tyrosine protein kinase belonging to the growth factor receptor tyrosine kinase family. Activation occurs upon binding of the FLT3 ligand to the extracellular domain, inducing homodimer formation and receptor autophosphorylation. The activated receptor phosphorylates and activates multiple cytoplasmic effector molecules, regulating apoptosis, proliferation, and differentiation of hematopoietic cells. Constitutive activation mutations are associated with acute myeloid leukemia and acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
