Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
Proteins of the matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) family participate in extracellular matrix degradation during normal physiological processes such as embryonic development, reproduction, and tissue remodeling, as well as pathological conditions like arthritis and metastasis.
The MMP7 enzyme degrades proteoglycans, fibronectin, elastin, and casein, and lacks the conserved C-terminal domain typical of most MMPs. It plays a role in wound healing and defensin regulation in intestinal mucosa. The gene is located on chromosome 11q22.3.
