Product Specific Information
This antibody is predicted to react with bovine, canine, porcine, and rabbit based on sequence homology.
Heat-mediated antigen retrieval is recommended prior to staining, using a 10 mM citrate buffer (pH 6.0) for 10 minutes, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
After antigen retrieval, incubate samples with primary antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
A suggested positive control is breast carcinoma tissue.
Target Information
MCM2 (Mini chromosome maintenance protein 2) regulates DNA replication and is essential for the onset of DNA synthesis and cell division. Also known as CDCL1, mitotin, and BM28, MCM2 is a nuclear protein mapped to chromosome 3q21 and is considered a potential oncogene candidate affected by chromosomal breaks in acute myeloid leukemia (AML).
