Product Specific Information

These polyclonal antibodies are of rabbit origin, developed by immunizing animals with specific proteins or peptides. The antibody is purified by affinity chromatography from rabbit sera and tested for functionality in relevant research applications.
This product is intended for Research Use Only and is non-hazardous and non-infectious.
Predicted to react with Monkey, Cat, Bovine, and Sheep.

Target Information

GPR55 is expressed in the brain, with mRNA transcripts detected in the caudate nucleus and putamen, but not in five other brain regions (Sawzdargo et al., 1999). ESTs have been isolated from liver/spleen libraries.
G-protein Coupled Receptors (GPCRs) comprise one of the largest families of signaling molecules, sharing a structural motif of seven membrane-spanning helices. GPCRs exist in both active and inactive forms, with various ligands influencing their conformation and downstream signaling via G-proteins.
Research continues to explore GPCR regulation and its implications for pharmacology, with several GPCR-targeted drugs achieving significant clinical and commercial success.

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
