For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional round of desalting using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL (Product #89882).

Target Information

The SMN complex plays a catalytic role in the assembly of small nuclear ribonucleoproteins (snRNPs), essential components of the spliceosome. It is crucial for pre-mRNA splicing in cells.
Most spliceosomal snRNPs contain common Sm proteins (SNRPB, SNRPD1, SNRPD2, SNRPD3, SNRPE, SNRPF, SNRPG) that form a heptameric ring on the Sm site of small nuclear RNA.
In the cytosol, Sm proteins are initially trapped in an inactive 6S pICln-Sm complex by CLNS1A, which regulates snRNP assembly. The SMN complex dissociates CLNS1A, allowing Sm proteins to form the active SMN-Sm complex and be transported to the nucleus.
