For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

The SMN complex acts as a catalyst in the assembly of small nuclear ribonucleoproteins (snRNPs), essential components of the spliceosome. It plays a key role in pre-mRNA splicing.
Sm proteins (SNRPB, SNRPD1, SNRPD2, SNRPD3, SNRPE, SNRPF, SNRPG) form a heptameric ring on the Sm site of small nuclear RNA, constituting the core snRNP.
In the cytosol, Sm proteins are sequestered in an inactive 6S pICln-Sm complex by CLNS1A. The SMN complex mediates the release of Sm proteins from CLNS1A and their assembly into SMN-Sm complexes, leading to snRNP formation and nuclear transport.
