Product Specific Information
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select optimal candidates for production.

Target Information
PUMA (p53 upregulated modulator of apoptosis) is a pro-apoptotic Bcl-2 family member, also regulated by p53. It encodes two BH3 domain-containing isoforms, PUMA-α and PUMA-β. PUMA proteins bind Bcl-2, localize to mitochondria, and promote cytochrome c release and apoptosis in response to p53 activation. Inhibition of PUMA reduces p53-mediated apoptosis, indicating its role in the cytochrome c/Apaf-1-dependent pathway.
