Product Specific Information

This NRNSTNX monoclonal antibody recognizes mouse Sall1.
It has been successfully used in:

  • Flow cytometry
  • Native gel electrophoresis followed by western blot
  • Immunohistochemistry of frozen tissue

Applications Reported:

  • Native gel electrophoresis followed by western blot
  • Immunohistochemical staining

Applications Tested:

  • Western blot (native) of mouse brain at ≤ 5 µg/mL (not recommended for denatured Sall1)
  • Immunohistochemical staining of acetone-fixed frozen mouse brain sections at ≤ 1.25 µg/mL

Fluorochrome-conjugated NRNSTNX is recommended for flow cytometry.


Target Information

Sall1 encodes a zinc finger protein functioning as a transcriptional repressor that interacts with histone deacetylase and the NuRD chromatin remodeling complex.
It is a microglial signature gene and plays critical roles in renal progenitor cell self-renewal and differentiation.
Defects in SALL1 are associated with Townes-Brocks syndrome and bronchio-oto-renal syndrome.
Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
