Target Information
USP22 is a histone deubiquitinating component of the transcription regulatory histone acetylation (HAT) complex SAGA. It catalyzes the deubiquitination of histones H2A and H2B, functioning as a coactivator. USP22 is recruited to specific gene promoters by activators such as MYC and is required for transcription, nuclear receptor-mediated transactivation, and cell cycle progression.
