Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. These systems clone specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits, followed by screening to select optimal clones for production.

Target Information

Zyxin is a zinc-binding phosphoprotein involved in focal adhesions—actin-rich structures that mediate cell adhesion and signal transduction. It localizes at focal adhesions and along the actin cytoskeleton.
Zyxin features:

  • N-terminal proline-rich domain (interacts with SH3 domains)
  • Three LIM domains in the C-terminal half (involved in protein-protein binding)

Zyxin may act as a messenger in adhesion-stimulated signal transduction, influencing gene expression and actin bundle organization.
Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding the same isoform.
