Target Information
Poly ADP-Ribose Polymerase (PARP) catalyzes the transfer of ADP-ribose to various nuclear protein acceptors using NAD⁺ as a substrate. Proteolysis of PARP to its stable 85 kDa fragment is an early marker of apoptosis, mediated by caspase CPP32. Cleavage occurs between Asp216 and Gly217, a conserved site across species.
