Target Information

The KIF23 gene encodes a member of the kinesin-like protein family, which includes microtubule-dependent molecular motors responsible for organelle transport and chromosome movement during cell division. This protein cross-bridges antiparallel microtubules and drives microtubule movement in vitro. Alternative splicing results in two transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms.
