Product Specific Information

The eBioCB-CALLA monoclonal antibody recognizes human CD10 (CALLA, NEP, enkephalinase, Neprilysin), a 100 kDa type II cell surface glycoprotein initially identified in acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). CD10 functions as a Zn²⁺-dependent metallo-peptidase involved in the regulation of chemotactic and inflammatory processes. It is expressed in B cells, enterocytes, renal tubules, and glomeruli.

Each product includes:

• 1 vial of NovaFluor conjugate
• 1 vial of CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Pre-diluted and tested with normal human peripheral blood cells at 5 µL (0.2 µg) per test (100 µL final volume).

Note: NovaFluor dyes are not compatible with DNA intercalating viability dyes (e.g., PI, 7-AAD, DAPI). Use Invitrogen LIVE/DEAD Fixable Dead Cell stains instead.

CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer (Cat. No. C001T06F01):

• Use 5 µL per sample for optimal staining.
• Add to antibody cocktails before combining with cells.
• For single-color controls, use 5 µL per 100 µL of cell sample.

Target Information

CD10 (Common Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia Antigen, CALLA) is a cell surface enzyme with neutral metalloendopeptidase activity that inactivates various biologically active peptides. It is expressed in lymphoblastic, Burkitt’s, and follicular germinal center lymphomas, immature B cells, breast myoepithelial cells, bile canaliculi, fibroblasts, and epithelial cells of kidney and gut.

CD10 is a 100 kDa type II transmembrane glycoprotein encoded by a gene with multiple alternatively spliced mRNA transcripts. Diseases associated with CD10 dysfunction include spinocerebellar ataxia 43 and Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease.
