Product Specific Information

Description:
The eBioCB-CALLA monoclonal antibody recognizes human CD10 (CALLA, NEP, enkephalinase, Neprilysin), a 100 kDa type II cell surface glycoprotein originally identified for its expression on most acute lymphoblastic leukemias (ALL). CD10 is a Zn²⁺-dependent metallo-peptidase involved in regulation of chemotactic and inflammatory processes involving neutrophils and B cell lymphopoiesis. Expression is also found in enterocytes, renal tubules, and glomeruli.

Each product contains one vial of NovaFluor conjugate and one vial of CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer.

Applications Reported:
This antibody is reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested:
Pre-diluted and tested by flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells. Recommended usage: 5 µL (0.2 µg) per test in 100 µL final volume. Cell number can range from 10⁵ to 10⁸ cells/test.

Important Notes:

• NovaFluor dyes are not compatible with DNA intercalating viability dyes (e.g., propidium iodide, 7-AAD, DAPI).
• Use Invitrogen LIVE/DEAD Fixable Dead Cell stains for viability analysis.
• CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer (Cat. No. C001T06F01) is required for optimal staining.
• Add 5 µL of CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer per sample or per 100 µL of cell sample for single-color controls.

Target Information

CD10 (CALLA, Common Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia Antigen):
A cell surface enzyme with neutral metalloendopeptidase activity that inactivates biologically active peptides such as glucagon, enkephalins, substance P, neurotensin, oxytocin, and bradykinin.
CD10 is expressed in lymphoblastic, Burkitt’s, and follicular germinal center lymphomas, immature B cells, and various epithelial cells (kidney, gut, breast).
It is a 100 kDa type II transmembrane glycoprotein encoded by a gene with alternatively spliced untranslated regions.
