Product Specific Information
- Immunohistochemistry (PFA-fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
- For formalin-fixed tissues: Heat tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 minutes at 95°C, then cool at room temperature for 20 minutes before staining.
Target Information
βIII-tubulin isoform is dominantly expressed in cells of neuronal origin and serves as an early marker of neuronal differentiation. It is a specific probe for neuronal cells and tumors derived from them.
Although most abundant in neurons, βIII-tubulin is also found in Sertoli cells of the testis and transiently in non-neuronal embryonic tissues.
