Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).


Target Information

The CD204 (MSR1) gene encodes class A macrophage scavenger receptors, including three isoforms (types 1, 2, and 3) generated by alternative splicing. These trimeric integral membrane glycoproteins are macrophage-specific and play roles in atherosclerosis, Alzheimer’s disease, and host defense.

  • Isoforms 1 and 2 mediate endocytosis of modified LDLs.
  • Isoform 3 does not internalize modified LDL due to altered intracellular processing and retention in the endoplasmic reticulum.
  • Isoform 3 can inhibit isoforms 1 and 2, exerting a dominant negative effect that regulates scavenger receptor activity.

Diseases associated with MSR1 include Barrett Esophagus and Prostate Cancer.
