Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select optimal production candidates.

Target Information

Neuropilin 1 (CD304) is a 923-amino acid membrane-bound coreceptor belonging to the neuropilin family. It contains two CUB domains, two F5/8 type C domains, and a MAM domain.
Neuropilin 1 forms heterodimers with Neuropilin 2 (NRP2) and binds to plexin (PLXNB1) to form semaphorin receptors.
It is predominantly expressed in the nervous system and plays roles in:

  • Cardiovascular system development
  • Angiogenesis
  • Axon guidance and neuronal circuit formation
  • Cell survival and migration
  • Organogenesis beyond the nervous system

Neuropilin 1 acts as a receptor for both semaphorins and VEGF, regulating VEGF-induced angiogenesis. It may be involved in aggressive prostate carcinoma and breast cancer progression.
