Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned and expressed in HEK293 cells. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information
Acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACC) is a biotin-containing enzyme that catalyzes the carboxylation of acetyl-CoA to malonyl-CoA, the rate-limiting step in fatty acid synthesis. Two forms exist (ACC-alpha and ACC-beta), encoded by distinct genes. ACC-alpha is enriched in lipogenic tissues and regulated by phosphorylation/dephosphorylation and allosteric effectors such as citrate and palmitoyl-CoA. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified.
