Product Specific Information

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned, and individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.
Advantages include:

  • Enhanced specificity and sensitivity
  • Lot-to-lot consistency
  • Animal origin-free formulation
  • Broad immunoreactivity due to the large rabbit immune repertoire

Target Information

ADRBK1 (GRK2) is a serine/threonine kinase that phosphorylates G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs). GRK2 (83 kDa) is one of six identified GRKs and is ubiquitously expressed in mammals.
Upon ligand binding and G protein activation, GPCRs are phosphorylated by GRKs, leading to receptor internalization regulated by beta-arrestin-1 and activation of the Ras–Raf–ERK1/2 signaling pathway.
GRK2 activity is regulated by phosphorylation (PKC, Src, ERK1/2) and protein interactions. ERK phosphorylates GRK2 on serine 670, providing a negative feedback mechanism.
