Product Specific Information
This antibody is predicted to react with human and mouse based on 100% sequence homology.
It is specific for the ~125 kDa monomer and the ~250 kDa dimers of mGluR5 and mGluR1 in Western blots of rat brain extracts.
Immunolabeling is blocked by preadsorption of the antibody with the peptide used to generate it.
Target Information
May play a role in synaptic transmission and may interact with mGluR1, another group I metabotropic glutamate receptor.
