Product Specific Information
This antibody is predicted to react with bovine, canine, human, and mouse based on 100% sequence homology.
It is specific for the ~95 kDa GRASP protein.
Target Information
PDZ domain-containing proteins, such as PSD-95 and GRIP, play key roles in glutamate receptor plasticity.
GRIP-associated proteins (GRASPs) that bind to distinct PDZ domains within GRIP also regulate glutamate receptor function.
GRASP-1 is a neuronal rasGEF associated with GRIP and AMPA receptors in vivo (Scannevin and Huganir, 2000).
Recent studies suggest that GRASP-1 regulates neuronal ras signaling and contributes to AMPA receptor distribution regulated by NMDA receptor activity (Ye et al., 2000).
