Product Specific Information

The UCHT1 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD3e, a 20 kDa subunit of the TCR complex. The epsilon chain, along with CD3 gamma and delta, is essential for proper assembly and surface expression of the TCR complex. CD3 is expressed by thymocytes and all mature T cells.

Crosslinking of TCR via immobilized UCHT1 initiates intracellular signaling resulting in activation and proliferation.
This antibody is pre-titrated for flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells and can be used at 5 µL (0.5 µg) per test in a final volume of 100 µL.

eFluor™ 450 is a replacement for Pacific Blue™, excited at 405 nm and emits at 445 nm. Ensure instrument compatibility with this fluorochrome.
Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.

Target Information

The CD3 complex transduces antigen-recognition signals into T cells and regulates TCR surface expression. It consists of CD3 gamma, delta, epsilon, and zeta subunits, all members of the immunoglobulin superfamily encoded on chromosome 11.

CD3 is present on 68–82% of peripheral blood lymphocytes and 65–85% of thymocytes, but absent on B and NK cells. Abnormal CD3 expression can be associated with autoimmune diseases or immunodeficiency.
