Recombinant rabbit Superclonal™ antibodies are unique offerings from Thermo Fisher Scientific. They are composed of multiple different recombinant monoclonal antibodies, providing the sensitivity of polyclonal antibodies with the specificity and consistency of monoclonal antibodies.
These antibodies recognize multiple epitope sites on the target, enabling high detection sensitivity for low-abundance targets.
Each lot is produced with a defined population of light and heavy chains, eliminating biological variability typically seen in polyclonal antibody production.

Target Information

The pannexin gene family encodes a second class of putative gap junction proteins, conserved across invertebrates and mammals.
Pannexins (Panx) are four-pass transmembrane proteins that oligomerize to form large, ion- and metabolite-permeable channels.
Pannexin-1 (PANX1) and Pannexin-3 are closely related, while Pannexin-2 is more distantly related.
PANX1 forms mechanosensitive, ATP-permeable channels between adjacent cells and within the endoplasmic reticulum.
It may function as a Ca²⁺-leak channel regulating ER calcium homeostasis and neural stem/progenitor cell proliferation.
