Recombinant rabbit Superclonal™ antibodies are unique offerings from Thermo Fisher Scientific. They comprise a selection of multiple different recombinant monoclonal antibodies, combining the sensitivity of polyclonal antibodies with the specificity and consistency of monoclonal antibodies.
These antibodies recognize multiple epitope sites on the target, providing higher detection sensitivity for low-abundance proteins. Each lot is produced with a defined mixture of light and heavy chains, ensuring batch-to-batch reproducibility and eliminating variability common in traditional polyclonal antibody production.

Target Information

Angiopoietin-like protein 4 (ANGPTL4) is a secreted protein selectively expressed in adipose tissue, liver, and placenta. It plays roles in adipogenesis, angiogenesis, and carcinogenesis, and its expression is regulated by nutritional and hormonal factors.
ANGPTL4 induces a strong pro-angiogenic response independent of VEGF and is expressed in hypoxic tissues and various cancers, including liposarcoma, hepatocellular carcinoma, and renal cell carcinoma.
