For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

Thymidylate Synthase (TS) catalyzes the conversion of deoxyuridine monophosphate (dUMP) to deoxythymidine monophosphate (dTMP), a key step in DNA biosynthesis.
TS is a major target of fluoropyrimidine-based anticancer drugs such as 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) and fluorodeoxyuridine. These compounds are metabolized in tumor cells to FdUMP, which inactivates TS through formation of a ternary covalent complex with the folate cofactor 5,10-methylenetetrahydrofolate.
Expression of TS protein correlates with response to 5-FU in various carcinomas, including colorectal, gastric, head and neck, and breast cancers.
