Product Specific Information
The monoclonal antibody SolA15 recognizes mouse and rat Ki-67, a 300 kDa nuclear protein present during all active phases of the cell cycle (G1, S, G2, mitosis) but absent in resting (G0) cells. Ki-67 localization changes from the nucleus during interphase to the chromosomes during mitosis. It serves as a marker for cell proliferation and is used to determine the growth fraction in tumor studies.
The SolA15 antibody also recognizes human, non-human primate, and canine Ki-67.
Applications Reported: Intracellular staining followed by flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Tested using mouse splenocytes with the Foxp3/Transcription Factor Staining Buffer Set (Product #00-5523-00). Recommended use ≤1.0 µg/test in 100 µL final volume.
Note: Optimize antibody titration for best performance.
Fluorochrome Information:
Brilliant Ultra Violet™ 661 (BUV661) emits at 660 nm and is designed for cytometers with a 355 nm UV laser. Protect from light due to photo-induced oxidation sensitivity.
When using multiple Brilliant Ultra Violet™, Brilliant Violet™, or polymer dye-conjugated antibodies, use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product #SB-4401-42) or Brilliant Stain Buffer™ (Product #00-4409-75) to reduce non-specific interactions.
Fixation:
Samples may be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product #00-8222-49) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product #00-5333-54) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark with minimal signal loss.

Target Information
Ki-67 is a nuclear protein expressed during late G1, S, G2, and M phases, but absent in G0. It associates with euchromatin and heterochromatin regions and shows cell cycle–dependent distribution. Ki-67 is widely used as a proliferation marker in cancer research, correlating with tumor grade and growth rate. It is also used as a neuronal marker of cell cycling and proliferation.
