Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. Antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned and screened to select optimal candidates for production.

Target Information
The leptin (OB-R) receptor belongs to the cytokine receptor superfamily and plays a key role in body weight homeostasis and energy balance. Activation of OB-R by leptin initiates downstream signaling via the JAK/STAT pathway.
Leptin induces homo-dimerization of OB-R domains, triggering intracellular signaling.
Multiple OB-R isoforms exist, differing in signaling capabilities. The OB-R long form is expressed in the choroid plexus and hypothalamus, central to satiety and energy expenditure.
Mutations in OB-R (db) or leptin (ob) genes cause early-onset obesity with metabolic abnormalities such as hyperinsulinemia, insulin resistance, and altered CNS activity.
