This antibody detects endogenous levels of DNA-PK only when phosphorylated at Threonine 2647.
Target Information
DNA-PK is a heterotrimeric, DNA-dependent protein kinase that initiates signaling cascades in response to DNA damage. It is an atypical kinase closely related to PI3 kinases and can be inhibited by PI3 kinase-targeting molecules.
DNA-PK encodes a component of the mediator complex, a transcriptional coactivator complex essential for the expression of most genes. This complex interacts with RNA polymerase II to promote transcriptional initiation. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified for DNA-PK.
