Description:
Monoclonal antibody X53 recognizes Collagen Type X from human, mouse, porcine, guinea pig, and rat. X53 does not cross-react with collagen types I, II, III, IV, or VI. Collagen Type X is a homotrimeric short chain collagen expressed primarily during bone growth and development, localized to hypertrophic chondrocytes during endochondral ossification, and involved in cartilage mineralization. It is elevated in many tumor types, particularly in vasculature. Mutations in COL10A1 (encoding Collagen Type X) are associated with Schmid type metaphyseal chondrodysplasia.

Applications Tested:
Tested by IHC on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded human tissue using low pH antigen retrieval at ≤5 µg/mL. Titrate as needed for optimal results.
Filter Recommendation:
For eFluor® 570 conjugates, use filters capturing 570 nm emission (e.g., Excitation 545/25, 565LP, Emission 605/70).
Standard Alexa Fluor® 555 or TRITC filters are acceptable.
