Target Information
VE-cadherin은 cadherin 초가족의 구성원으로, 염색체 16의 장완에 위치한 여섯 개의 cadherin 클러스터 중 하나입니다.
이 단백질은 칼슘 의존적 세포 간 접착 당단백질로, 다섯 개의 extracellular cadherin 반복, 하나의 transmembrane 영역 및 보존된 cytoplasmic tail로 구성되어 있습니다.
VE-cadherin은 세포 간 접착을 매개하며, 내피세포의 결합 및 세포 간 연결 구조의 유지에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
대체 스플라이싱 변이가 보고되었으나, 전체 길이 서열은 완전히 규명되지 않았습니다.
