Product Specific Information
- For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of about 1 mg/mL.
- For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
IL12B (IL-12 p40) encodes a subunit of interleukin 12, a cytokine that acts on T and natural killer cells with broad biological activity.
Interleukin 12 is a disulfide-linked heterodimer composed of a 40 kDa receptor-like subunit (encoded by IL12B) and a 35 kDa subunit (encoded by IL12A).
This cytokine is expressed by activated macrophages and is essential for Th1 cell development and maintenance of memory/effector Th1 cells.
Overexpression has been observed in the central nervous system of multiple sclerosis (MS) patients and is associated with asthma severity in children.
