Target Information
TGF beta-1 (TGFB1, Transforming Growth Factor Beta 1)은 transforming growth factor beta 사이토카인 슈퍼패밀리에 속하는 폴리펩타이드로, 대부분의 조직에서 발견됩니다.
TGF-β는 세포외기질에 잠재형 복합체로 저장되며, 활성화는 aV integrin이 prodomain의 RGD 서열에 결합하고 기계적 힘을 가함으로써 이루어집니다.
잠재형 복합체는 TGF beta-1, TGF-LAP (latency associated peptide), LTBP (latent TGF-beta binding protein)로 구성됩니다.
TGF beta-1은 세포의 증식, 분화, 부착, 이동을 조절하며, 다양한 성장 인자들을 양·음성으로 조절합니다.
유전자는 종양 세포에서 상향 조절되는 경우가 많으며, 돌연변이는 Camurati-Engelmann disease 및 cystic fibrosis와 관련이 있습니다.
