Product Specific Information
Store vial at 4°C prior to restoration. Restore with deionized water (or equivalent).
For extended storage, aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below. Avoid freeze/thaw cycles.
Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature.
Stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.
Expiration date is one year from date of restoration.
Anti-AKT3 antibody is directed against human AKT3 and detects both unphosphorylated and phosphorylated forms.
Cross-reactivity with AKT3 from other species has not been determined, but immunogen sequence shows 100% identity to human, mouse, and rat, so cross-reactivity is expected.
Cross-reactivity with AKT2 and AKT has not been determined.
Target Information
AKT3 (PKB gamma) is stimulated by PDGF, insulin, and IGF1.
It plays roles in:
- Cell proliferation and differentiation
- Apoptosis and tumorigenesis
- Glycogen synthesis and glucose uptake
Alternative splice variants encoding distinct isoforms have been described.
