Antibody characteristics:
Anti-AKT1 antibody recognizes human AKT1 and detects both phosphorylated and unphosphorylated forms.
Cross-reactivity with other species has not been fully tested, but the immunogen shares 85% sequence identity with mouse and 92% with rat, suggesting likely cross-reactivity.

Target Information

AKT1 (PKB alpha) is a serine/threonine kinase involved in cell survival regulation. It inhibits apoptosis and promotes cell cycle progression by phosphorylating various targets.
Activated by insulin, PI3K, IGF1, and other growth factors, AKT1 plays a central role in cell survival signaling and is a major focus in cancer drug discovery.
