Product Specific Information

• Store vial at 4°C prior to reconstitution.
• Reconstitute with deionized water or equivalent.
• Stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid.
• Centrifuge if not clear after standing at room temperature.
• For extended storage, aliquot and freeze at -20°C or below.
• Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
• Store reagent in the dark and handle under subdued lighting.

Note:
Anti-AKT3 antibody detects both unphosphorylated and phosphorylated forms of AKT3.
Sequence homology indicates expected cross-reactivity with human, mouse, and rat AKT3.
Cross-reactivity with AKT2 or AKT1 has not been determined.

Target Information

AKT3 (also known as PKB gamma) is a serine/threonine kinase activated by platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF), insulin, and insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF1).
It is involved in key cellular processes such as:

• Cell proliferation and differentiation
• Apoptosis regulation
• Tumorigenesis
• Glycogen synthesis and glucose uptake

Alternative splice variants encoding distinct isoforms have been reported.
