Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
Cytochrome P450 superfamily proteins are monooxygenases that catalyze multiple biochemical reactions involved in drug metabolism and the synthesis of cholesterol, steroids, and lipids.
CYP4F3, a 60 kDa protein, is a novel member of this family with a conserved heme-binding domain near the C-terminus and catalyzes the ω-hydroxylation of LTB4.
CYP4F3 is localized in the endoplasmic reticulum and plays a vital role in the inactivation of LTB4 and in controlling inflammation.
It exists in two functionally distinct isoforms:
- CYP4F3A: Expressed in neutrophils and myeloid cells, catalyzes microsomal ω-hydroxylation of LTB4.
- CYP4F3B: Liver isoform that catalyzes the conversion of arachidonic acid to 20-HETE, a potent activator of PKC, implicated in cell proliferation, vascular tone, and natriuresis.
