For IHC(P), use heat-induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antibody, slides should be incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen.
Target Information
CD61 (also known as GPIIIa or ITGB3) is a glycoprotein found on megakaryocytes, platelets, and their precursors. It plays a key role in platelet aggregation and functions as a receptor for fibrinogen, fibronectin, von Willebrand factor, and vitronectin.

- Associates with integrins αIIb (CD41) or αV (CD51) on the cell surface
- Expressed on platelets, megakaryocytes, endothelial cells, monocytes, and osteoclasts
- Participates in cell adhesion and signaling
