Product Specific Information

Reconstitute the lyophilized antibody with deionized water (or equivalent) to a final concentration of 0.5 mg/mL.

Programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) is a cell surface receptor expressed on T cells and pro-B cells. Binding of its ligands PD-L1 and PD-L2 results in down-regulation of the immune system by inhibiting T-cell activation. PD-1 is a critical immune checkpoint and an important therapeutic target for cancer immunotherapy.
This PD-1 Monoclonal Antibody (clone PD1.D3) is produced from hybridoma formed by fusion of SP2/0 myeloma cells and B-lymphocytes from mice immunized with recombinant human PD-1-Fc (Z03370).

Target Information

Cell-mediated immune responses are initiated by T lymphocytes stimulated by peptides bound to MHC molecules on antigen-presenting cells (APC). Activated T cells express inhibitory receptors such as PD-1 (PDCD-1), which binds ligands PD-L1 and PD-L2 to suppress immune activation in the absence of danger signals.
PD-1-deficient mice exhibit hyperactive immune systems and autoimmune diseases. Although PD-1 has a predicted molecular weight, it often migrates at a higher apparent molecular weight in SDS-PAGE.
