Target Information
Gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA)는 신경 전달을 억제하는 강력한 억제성 신경전달물질로 중추신경계 전반에 존재합니다.
GABA는 글루탐산의 탈탄산화 반응을 통해 생성되며, GABA-A 및 GABA-B 두 가지 형태로 존재합니다.
GABA가 GABA-A 수용체에 결합하면 염소 이온의 세포 내 유입이 증가하여 신호 전달이 억제됩니다.
GABA 결핍 시 신호 전달 조절이 제대로 이루어지지 않아, 신체 경련, 발작, 간질 등의 증상이 나타날 수 있습니다.
